Rates & Policy Information

Thank you for booking with Best Kind Counselling. We are happy you’re here! Let’s review some important information and important office policies for you to be aware of. Thank you for your attention to this!

Cancellation Policy/No Show Policy for Scheduled Appointments
We understand that life happens, and sometimes we need to miss appointments or cancel.
What we ask is that you let us know, so we can schedule somebody else in that spot, who could benefit from that time. Thank you for your understanding.

We ask that everyone have a credit card or visa debit on file, for situations like late cancels/no shows or virtual appointments. This makes things easier on our end.

Session Costs:
Individual Therapy Session - $135 for 50 Minutes
Couples Therapy Session - $135 for 50 Minutes
Report Writing - $120

Cancellation – 24 hours+ notice. Resulting in no fee.
Late Cancel – When less than 24 hours’ notice is given. This may result in a half session fee.
No Show – When an appointment is booked and you do not attend, and do not advise you are not attending. This may result in a full session fee.

** We are aware that each situation is unique and are happy to discuss a plan that works best for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Stephanie to discuss your situation. This is not meant to feel punitive or scary. Thank you**

Forms and Appointment Reminders:

At the time of booking, you will receive forms (intake information, consent to service and credit card form). These forms are required before your session, as they are helpful for your therapist to ensure things run smoothly for you upon your session. We would love for these to be completed at least 24 hours before your session.

We will also send you email reminders 48 hours before your appointment and text reminders 24 hours before. *If this is not something you would like to have, please let Stephanie know*

Payment - Payment is required before the session with your therapist. Payment can be received via e-transfer to or via credit card on file. We will then process your payment and send you a receipt via email.

Insurance – We direct bill Blue Cross only. It is your responsibility to ensure your insurance covers the therapist you are seeing. It is also your responsibility to know the limits of your insurance. We are happy to help with any information you may need about your therapist’s designation. Each insurance plan is different, and there may be a co-pay required. We will let you know how much is left owing at the time of your session.
